LED Panel 60x60cm White 36W UGR<19 100L/w Incl. Driver OPTION: Dimmable
This LED panel measures 59.5x59.5cm, is 10mm thick, and has a UGR<19: read HERE for more explanation about the UGR value.
The power consumption of this panel is 36 Watts and it has a light output of 100 L/W.
Available in various light colors K3000, K4000 and K6000
The sides are finished with a white aluminium edging that is approximately 24mm wide.
The LED panel is supplied as standard with a driver; attached to the driver is a cord of +/- 20cm that can be connected to the mains.
As an option, we can also supply you with a flicker-free driver.
In an LED panel, the LEDs are mounted on the side(s), and the light is evenly distributed throughout the panel by means of a special plastic plate (PMMA).
LED panels are used for various ceiling types.
Suspended ceiling:
You can easily mount an LED panel in a suspended ceiling. You remove the ceiling tile from the ceiling and place the LED panel in its place; you do not need any extra mounting material.
A concrete ceiling:
If you have a ceiling where you cannot mount an LED panel, you can mount the LED panel against the ceiling.
You will need a surface mounting frame. This frame consists of 4 aluminum profiles that you screw to the ceiling, after which you can slide the LED panel into them. Click here for the suitable profile for this panel.
Plasterboard ceiling:
If you have a ceiling with an empty space above it, such as a plasterboard ceiling, wooden ceiling, etc., the LED panel can be mounted against the ceiling.
You will need 4 clips to mount the LED panel. Click here for the clips.
Hanging an LED panel on cables:
To hang the panel from cables (also called a pendant), you need a set of steel cables; click here.
These cables are a maximum of 100 cm long and can be adjusted to any desired length.
What should you look out for when purchasing an LED panel?
Many LED panels are on offer; one is even cheaper than the other, but what is the difference?
The LED panel contains a perforated plate that diffuses the light from the sides where the LEDs are located.
The perforated sheet is available in various versions; just take a look at existing shops, offices, or supermarkets where LED panels are installed, and you will see that some panels have a yellow stripe in the middle or, even worse, are starting to turn black.
This means that the panel is not fitted with a PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) inner plate.
PMMA has the advantage that it discolors little to not at all due to UV radiation.
The discoloration of a cheap LED panel will become visible within just a few months and will only get darker until hardly any light comes out of it anymore.
What is Flicker-free?
A standard LED panel with a standard design emits light that flickers; this is not visible to the naked eye.
Take a photo or video of the normal panel with your mobile phone and you will immediately see the flickering.
Your eyes are irritated by this light, resulting in sensitive eyes, headaches, and poor concentration.
