This corner connector can be slid into the rail (plug and play).
Rail lighting is a very easy and flexible system. It allows for the addition of unlimited lighting and is almost always adjustable. We distinguish between 1-phase and 3-phase rail lighting. A 1-phase rail corresponds to a 1-phase rail spotlight, and a 3-phase rail corresponds to a 3-phase rail spotlight.
In a 1-phase rail system (also known as a single-phase system), all rail spotlights operate on a single circuit. By circuit, we mean the number of rail spotlights you can illuminate with a single switch. To use a 1-phase rail system, your network can be either single-phase or three-phase. For example, if you have 3 x 380 V, you can use a 1-phase rail, but you use only one circuit. Conversely, you can also use a 3-phase rail in a single-phase network (e.g., 1 x 230 V). In this case, you connect L1, L2, and L3 together.
In a 3-phase rail system, you have the option to light up 3 circuits separately. This can be useful if you want to light up some spotlights on the same rail with one switch and the others with one or two other switches. Suppose you have a retail space and want to illuminate basic lighting after closing hours in the evening. Then you can turn on a limited number of spotlights on the rail. However, you can also solve this problem by placing all the spotlights you want to keep continuously lit on a 1-phase rail.
