You can install an LED panel in three ways: laid into a suspended ceiling, against a solid ceiling with a surface-mount frame, or suspended from a pendant kit. In a suspended ceiling it is easiest: you simply replace a ceiling tile with the panel. Leave the electrical connection to a qualified electrician if you have no experience with it.

Preparation
- Switch off the power at the consumer unit.
- Check the size of your ceiling grid: 600 mm (60x60 cm panel) or 625 mm (62x62 cm panel).
- Check whether the driver is supplied with the panel and whether the panel needs to be dimmable.
Method 1: recessed in a suspended ceiling
- Lift a ceiling tile out of the grid.
- Connect the driver to the mains (brown = live, blue = neutral, green/yellow = earth).
- Connect the driver to the panel via the plug.
- Place the driver next to the opening on the ceiling, not directly on the panel.
- Tilt the panel into the grid and lay it flat on the profiles.
Method 2: surface-mounted with a frame
- Screw three sides of the surface-mount frame to the ceiling using wall plugs suited to the material.
- Feed the cable through and place the driver in the frame.
- Connect the panel and slide it into the frame.
- Fit the fourth side to close the frame.
Method 3: suspended with a pendant kit
Fix the ceiling anchors, hang the panel from the steel cables and adjust the height. Use a pendant kit that is suitable for the weight and size of the panel.
Safety tips
Always work with the power off, use the supplied or specified driver and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Take a look at our LED panels and panel accessories.
Frequently asked questions
Can I install an LED panel myself?
Laying it in is easy, but have the mains connection carried out by a qualified electrician if you have no experience with it.
Where do I put the driver?
Next to the panel on the suspended ceiling or in the surface-mount frame, not directly on the back of the panel, so that the heat can escape.
Does a 60x60 panel fit every suspended ceiling?
Only a 600 mm grid. For a 625 mm grid you need a 62x62 cm panel.
