Power supplies and drivers for LED strips
LED strip power supplies · step by step
Choose the right power supply without calculation errors.
The power supply must have the same voltage as the LED strip and deliver enough power. These three steps let you choose safely and easily.

How it works
Choosing a power supply in three steps.
Look at the strip's product page for voltage and wattage per meter. Then calculate the minimum power and choose a power supply with some reserve.
Check the voltage
A 12V strip requires a 12V power supply. A 24V strip requires a 24V power supply. These values must never be swapped.
Calculate the power
Multiply watts per meter by the number of meters and add about 20% reserve.
Choose dimming or control
Do you want to dim, change colors or use an app? Then also choose a suitable dimmer or controller.
Which power supply do you need?
Up to 40W
For short runs of LED strip and small applications. Always check the actual wattage of your strip.
60W to 100W
For longer lengths and many standard 24V applications. Keep a margin for reliable operation.
150W and more
For long installations or multiple sections. For very long runs, parallel connection may be required.
Important for safety
Unsure about the correct power supply?
Always check the voltage, the total wattage and the connection method. For a long installation, it is advisable to power the strip at multiple points.
