48V track lighting • how it works

First choose the system, then the parts.

Dimay LED offers two different 48V track systems. Both run on a safe 48 volt supply, but their parts do not fit each other. So first decide which system you want and then only order parts from that system. On every product page you can see below the product exactly which track, power supply and connectors belong to it.

System 1

Shift: the standard 48V track

This is the regular magnetic track, about 26 mm wide. You can screw it to the ceiling, hang it from cables or recess it into the ceiling as a built-in track. There is also a low-profile track for places with little space. All standard 48V track spots, linear lights, globes and pendants fit this track.

System 2

Nano: the narrow 48V track

Nano is an ultra-slim track only 12 mm wide that is almost invisible in the ceiling. It comes as a surface track, a trimless recessed track and a double pendant track. Only Nano luminaires fit on Nano, and the standard Shift luminaires do not fit it.

STEP 1

Choose the track

Decide on the length and the colour, black or white. You join tracks with a straight connector or make a right angle with an L-corner.

STEP 2

Choose the power supply

One 150W power supply powers about 120W of lights. Add up the wattage of all lights and use an extra power supply above 120W. For the low-profile track choose the 100W power supply.

STEP 3

Choose the connection and finishing

A power feed connects the power supply to the track. End caps close the ends of the track neatly. With Nano the end caps are already included with the track.

STEP 4

Choose the lights

Click the lights onto the magnetic track and slide them into place. Choose them in the same colour as the track. With a CCT light you set the light colour yourself, from warm to cool.

Good to know: keep a maximum of 20 metres of track per circuit. Do not use an LED strip power supply for these tracks, because LED strips run on 12 or 24 volts and these tracks on 48 volts. Not sure? Email us at info@dimay.com and we will put together the right set for you.

48V rail lighting for modern and flexible illumination

48V rail lighting is a modern and flexible lighting system that allows you to easily combine different LED fixtures on a rail. The low-voltage system is suitable for homes, shops, showrooms, hospitality, offices and other professional spaces. Thanks to the wide choice of fixtures, you can combine functional lighting and atmospheric accent lighting within a single rail system.

LED fixtures for a 48V rail system

Within 48V rail lighting, various types of LED fixtures are available. In addition to directional track spots, you can choose from linear LED fixtures, pendant lights, globe fixtures and other decorative designs. This allows the system to be adapted to both the interior and the desired light distribution.

Fixtures can be mounted at different positions along the rail, keeping the lighting flexible when the layout of a home, shop or commercial space changes. This makes a 48V rail system particularly suitable for spaces where functionality and design need to be combined.

48V rails, accessories and power supplies

For a complete 48V rail system, suitable rails, connectors, accessories and power supplies are required in addition to the LED fixtures. With various rail components, the system can be adapted to the shape and dimensions of the space. The correct 48V power supply ensures that the mains voltage is converted to the required low voltage for the rail system.

48V rail lighting for residential and commercial use

With 48V LED rail lighting you create a sleek and versatile lighting system that can be easily expanded and adapted. The system is suitable for, among others, living rooms, kitchens, shops, showrooms, restaurants and offices. Browse the 48V rail lighting range from Dimay and combine the desired LED fixtures with matching rails, power supplies and accessories for a complete lighting system.
