Professional LED High Bay lighting for high-ceiling spaces
LED High Bay lighting is specially developed for powerful and efficient illumination of high commercial spaces. High Bays are widely used in warehouses, industrial halls, production halls, workshops, logistics centres and sports halls where high light output and uniform illumination are important.
Our range consists of professional LED High Bay fixtures in various power ratings and designs. You will find, among others, LED UFO High Bays of 100W, 150W, 200W and 240W and Linear High Bay lighting. Depending on the model, dimmable versions and High Bays with DALI control are also available.
A LED High Bay combines high light output with efficient energy consumption and long service life. This makes High Bay LED lighting an excellent replacement for traditional lighting in spaces with high ceilings. By choosing the correct power and beam distribution, the light can be efficiently distributed across the work floor.
Which LED High Bay is suitable depends, among other things, on the mounting height, the dimensions of the space and the desired light level. Browse our range of LED High Bay lighting and choose the right solution for your warehouse, industrial hall, production hall or other professional space.
Frequently asked questions about LED high bay lighting
How many watts of high bay lighting do I need?
That depends on the mounting height and the light level you need. As a guideline, 100 W suits a height of about 4 to 6 metres, 150 W about 6 to 8 metres, and 200 W or more halls from about 8 metres. For an exact calculation you can ask us for advice via the chat or by email.
How much lux does a warehouse need?
For storage areas and warehouses 100 to 200 lux is usually recommended, and for workshops and production areas where precise work is done 300 to 500 lux.
What is the difference between a UFO high bay and a linear high bay?
A round UFO high bay gives a concentrated beam and suits tall halls with open spaces. A linear high bay spreads the light in a longer pattern and works well above aisles between racking.
Can an LED high bay be dimmed?
Many models can be dimmed via 1-10V or DALI, and some have a motion or daylight sensor. Each product page states which control options are available.
Compare LED high bays: wattage, lumens and mounting height
Whether you are searching for an LED high bay, LED highbay lamp or UFO high bay, they are all the same type of industrial luminaire for ceilings from around 4 metres. Use the table below as a first guide to choosing the right wattage.
| Wattage | Luminous flux (approx.) | Mounting height | m² per luminaire (150–200 lux) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100W | 15,000 lm | 4–6 m | 35–50 m² |
| 150W | 22,500 lm | 6–8 m | 55–70 m² |
| 200W | 30,000 lm | 8–10 m | 70–95 m² |
| 240W | 36,000 lm | 10–12 m | 85–115 m² |
Figures are indicative and assume a UFO high bay with a 90°–120° beam in a warehouse or workshop. Sports halls and production areas with fine work need more light. Not sure how many luminaires you need? Email us at info@dimay.com.
