Explosion-proof ATEX Junction Box with 2 Blanking Plugs – for Explosion-proof LED High Bay

What is it?
You use this explosion-proof junction box to safely connect explosion-proof LED high bays to the mains or to link several fittings in areas where there is a risk of explosion, such as storage of flammable liquids, spray booths, chemical storage or dusty production areas. The box is supplied with 2 blanking plugs and 2 open cable entries; a cable gland is not included.

Fits
The junction box belongs to the explosion-proof LED high bays of 100W and 200W in our range. You will find the matching products, such as the fittings and the M25×1.5 cable gland, at the bottom of this page.

Installation and use
The box is fixed in place near the fitting. For every cable that enters the box you fit a cable gland in an open entry; unused openings are closed with the supplied blanking plugs. Always have the installation carried out by a qualified electrician who is familiar with working in ATEX zones.

How many do you need?
You need one junction box per connection or linking point. Because the box has 2 open cable entries, you need at most 2 cable glands per box: one for the incoming cable and one for the cable continuing to the next fitting.
