Tri-proof means protected three ways: against water, against dust and against impact. A tri-proof LED batten luminaire usually has an IP65 or IP66 rating and an impact-resistant cover. This makes it suitable for damp, dusty or harsh environments, such as garages, car parks, warehouses, workshops, livestock barns and cold stores.

What does IP65 mean for a luminaire?
IP65 means completely dust-tight (6) and resistant to water jets from any direction (5). IP66 is resistant to powerful water jets. Read more in what IP means in LED lighting.
